Lithgow Small Arms Factory Museum – Front of House, Guiding, Archive Assistants, Grounds & Building Maintenance

When: Currently 10am to 4pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. 10am to 2pm Saturdays. The Museum aims to expand opening hours to seven days a week as more volunteers become available to support daily operations. The Lithgow Small Arms Factory Museum shares the industrial story of the Lithgow factory and the people who worked there over many decades. Its collections, archives, and displays bring to life the skills, processes, and working environment of a major Australian industrial site, along with the community built around it.

Volunteers assist across admissions, guiding visitors, operating the shop, helping with general upkeep of buildings and grounds, and supporting the care and presentation of the Museum’s collections and archives.

Cost –  $5 per year membership (compliance with the Museum’s incorporation requirements and provides volunteer insurance coverage.)
