Clarence Dargan RFS – Front Line Fire Fighters & Support Roles

  • Purpose: Primarily responsible for combating bush fires and managing fire risks in rural and regional areas.
  • Coverage: Protects approximately 95% of the land area of NSW, while urban areas are covered by Fire and Rescue NSW.
  • Services: In addition to fire fighting, they handle emergencies like storm damage and motor vehicle accidents.
  • Prevention: Actively involved in community education, hazard reduction, and developing regulations for fire-prone areas
