Seeking compassionate volunteers to support isolated families with young children through weekly, nurturing home visits in Lithgow.
The Connect and Nurture (CAN) program provides in-home support for families with children aged 0–3 in the Lithgow and Blue Mountains region who may be feeling isolated or overwhelmed.
We are seeking kind, compassionate local volunteers who enjoy building genuine connections and supporting mothers through the early years of parenting. By offering a warm, consistent presence—like that of a caring aunty or grandparent—volunteers help families feel less alone during this important stage.
Volunteers visit weekly for up to six months, focusing on forming a supportive, non-judgemental relationship. This may include spending time with children or offering light, shared support around the home. (Please note this is not a babysitting or domestic service role.)
Volunteers are carefully matched with families and supported throughout by a dedicated team. If you are empathetic, reliable, and able to commit your time, we would love to hear from you.
