Open Volunteer Spots: Unlimited
RSL sub-branches are local, member-based, not-for-profit organizations aimed at supporting current
and former Australian Defence Force (ADF) members and their families. Their primary purpose is
providing welfare services, advocacy, fostering comradeship, and organizing community
commemorations, such as ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day
Key Purposes and Activities:
- Welfare and Support: Sub-branches provide practical support, including assistance for
veterans in need, connecting them to health and wellbeing services, and, in some cases,
participating in employment programs. - Advocacy: They act as a voice for veterans, advocating for their rights, benefits, and interests
to the government. - Camaraderie and Connection: They offer a social network for veterans to connect, share
experiences, and support one another. - Commemoration: They organize and host local commemorative services to honor the service
and sacrifice of military personnel
